AMINO ACIDS, WHY YOU NEED THEM

HOW TO TREAT POROUS AND DAMAGED HAIR WITH AMINO ACIDS

What are Amino Acids

Amino acids are very small molecules, they are not "proteins" by themselves, they are the constituents of the proteins formed.

To have a protein, you put these Amino Acids together.

Where they are (hair)

In hair, there are many amino acids (at least about 20).

The cuticle of the hair - it is an outer covering with several layers of "scales", contains more amino acids than in the inner parts of the hair fiber.

How amino acids are lost

The content of amino acids when exposed to chemicals or heat sources, there is a degradation of hair proteins. Therefore, using serum will be more efficient. You have a recipe below

Do amino acids remain in my hair?

You may have heard that amino acids are simply eliminated when they are included in a shampoo or conditioner. This is not entirely true. If you apply amino.

Now, if amino acids are present in a formula (like a conditioner), the amino acids stick more difficult because they interact with the other ingredients.

Which one should you look for?

  • Silk Amino Acids or Silk Protein

Contains: alanine, glycine, and serine.

Function: improves moisture, elastic capillary strength and protection against aggression

  • Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein contains:

cysteine, glutamic acid

Function: improves hair moisture, adds volume, reduces porosity

Improves smoothness.

  • Hydrolyzed Oat Protein and derivatives contains:

Glutamic acid, aspartic acid, alanine, proline

Function: Decreases the static electricity charge on hair strands, protects natural or dyed color against UV rays.

  • Hydrolyzed Soy Protein and derivatives: contains: phenylalanine, tyrosine, leucine

Function: ability to keep the cuticle smooth, repair and strengthen the hair, maintenance of curly hair structure

  • Hydrolyzed Protein Keratin contains:

Cysteine, tyrosine, glutamic acid

Function: restores elasticity and strength

Restructuring power of the hair fiber.

NOTE:

If you are allergic to any of these ingredients (such as wheat) or have an intolerance that causes severe physical symptoms, you may also need to avoid the hydrolyzed versions of the proteins.
